For this article, I’ll be analyzing the Pelicans and my giving my predictions on their chance at beating the Warriors. The playoffs are insane right now! Let’s get straight into it.
I’ll admit it, I was wrong. Niko is playing out of his mind right now, making every Pelicans game, a joy to watch. Stepping up and proving me wrong, clean-shaven Mirotic is helping this Pelicans take a commanding 3-0 lead against the 3rd seeded Blazers. Alongside Mirotic, Jrue and Rondo are playing out of their minds right now! Sticking to their assignments like glue, Rondo and Jrue’s defense as well as their scoring is truly what’s lifted the Pelicans over the Blazers. Pivotal role players have paved the way for New Orleans in this series. Although these have been amazing performances, Dame has been choking hard in the last two games, shooting a measly 30%! These factors are why the Pelicans have clutched the 3-0 lead.
Taking a lead like this makes me wonder what they’ll do against the warriors in the next round. We all know that Zaza is incapable of stopping threats like AD in the paint, but will Jrue and Rondo be able to lock down the splash brothers? We don’t know yet, but based on their insane performances against stars like CJ and Dame, I’m confident they’ll give the warriors a challenge. Curry is coming back from an injury as well, so it’s unlikely that he’ll be at 100% for this matchup, making him easy prey for Jrue and Rondo. Sadly, this is the Warriors and it’s very well documented how talented their team is. In conclusion, I think it’s completely possible for the Pelicans to win this if Curry isn’t ready for the playoffs yet, but if curry shows up, I’m going with Warriors in six.
